Why have a weak link? Granted, I'm switching a 7.5" 10-bolt for a 8.5" 10-bolt. But why leave it if you're going to want sticky tires and then have to worry about it?

i have seen people run 9:00 E/T with a 7.5

I have seen 10 bolts go 1.4's w no problems and he is still driving it daily wo issues. My thoughts have changed on the issue a little. if you are gonna put stickys in it then I would change but if you are gonna keep the street rubber and spin the tires, that will save the rear. I have been told to do this and that to the rear in the vette but I have never had any issue and we have inspected it.

i'd like to call out anyone thats in the 12's. dunno what i'll run this year for sure or where the mods will stop.

I don't want to stay with street tires, thats the problem. Six speed and stickey rubber and my shit blows up.
