On the way home from work the other day, a guy in an older M3 tried to give me a run from around 40 MPH or so. I easily smoked him.
Nearly 200k on the clock, and the GTP is still able to surprise quite a few challengers - with nothing more than a low-restriction exhaust, a 'tune', some 93 octane pump gas, and a bit of transmission work.
