Tonight while I was at walser dodge I was BS'ing with one of the salesmen about cars and we got on the subject of the challanger. I told him I thought they would sell better if they were not so expensive and he told me that they had a new one for 22K. I said ya right but we walked out to the lot and there it was 24K with 2000$ off. Now granted this is a V6 car but still I think you may see some more of them around this spring.

Those things are V6s are huge pigs. It's all "hay look at me" with no-go. I wouldn't piss on one on fire to put it out.Originally posted by 602hp View PostTonight while I was at walser dodge I was BS'ing with one of the salesmen about cars and we got on the subject of the challanger. So the camaro v6 isn't going to be a pig?. I don't know, not everyone buys these cars to go fast. Look at the old days the big 3 sold tons of pony cars with L6's and small V8's and they were all pigs. Shit I remember even some of the 396 67 68 camaros were huge dogs and most people piched that engine in favor of a 427 or 454. Any car from GM that had a powerglide was a dog too as with the stock tq. converter could not get out of it's own way.Originally posted by HOTCIVIC View PostThose things are V6s are huge pigs. You were too small or not born yet to remeber the 210hp 327 camaros when they first came out, turd city. My brother has one of those cars now and it's still a turd.
Remember JR'S car that's a V6 and it goes pretty good so I think with a little tuning and extras now a day anything can be made to go fast, How long it last is a different story. If I had the cash I would buy a new challanger as I like the car and for me and especially the wife who likes a slow car would be happy with it.
We should be happy the car companys are making cars like these with the economy the way it is.

I agree that $22k is a good price for a new car, but would you really want to spend that amount of money for a car that really doesn't do anything very well?

I'd personally would take the $22k and put it towards a used Z06. The prices have really come down, so you actually wouldn't have to spend too much more than that. Although not brand new...much more pleasure and bang for the buck.
Just my 2 cents...

Where did I say GM is worthless?Originally posted by itsageo View PostIf I am right that v6 has 260-280 horsepower which isn't exactly no-go. You always say I am bashing GM, shit, you are the one who is calling them worthless.
The V6 Challenger is going to have 250 HP with a 4 speed auto. The V6 Camaro will have 304 with a 6 speed manual or auto. The Challenger is a pig.
Anything else you want to add?
