I have window tint on the car right now, but I know its not legal for minnesota. So I was going to tear it off and if possible try to tint it to 50% myself. I've found kits out there that are precut to match my windows and also comes with solutions, sponges, dvd (for the noobs) ect. Anyone ever tackle this? I figured if it looks like crap I'm out of pocket maybe 40 bucks, and then I could pay someone to do it, any ideas?

LOL, yeah but since you know that, I might not want the pros to tear my door panels off to get farther down on the window, so I guess I could take them off myself, maybe save a few bucks as wellOriginally posted by ReRod View PostKnowing how much of a perfectionist you are, I'd suggest just having a pro do it right away man. Put the $40 towards that price.

Yeah I've seen some of his work from your truck and car, wonder if the ford garage would let him do my car there or if he has to come to my house?

Sure you could work it out with them. If you just bring him the windows, he would probably take them to his shop and do them and bring 'em back to you the next week.Originally posted by Pool Boy View PostYeah I've seen some of his work from your truck and car, wonder if the ford garage would let him do my car there or if he has to come to my house?

Did you know that I have to take the inside 1/4 panels off in order to get the small rear windows out!Originally posted by Old School View PostSure you could work it out with them. You can get a medical exemption from an optometrist stating you need dark tint because your eyes are light sensitive.
