well I guess I will be the first to post in here, this is a cuda I am doing for a 19 year old kid, he wants a bad ass street car, obviously this car is going to take him a few years because he just entered the workforce right out of vo-tech but so far I have not let him cut anycorners, and hopefully he wont, but we all know how that goes, anyway it is a 73 cuda, I cut it apart and back halfed it, now I am working on the front half, I am going with an alston front half with a-arms, didnt want to go struts because he plans to street this car, I will post up pics as progress continues, I will be finishing the front half this weekend but then I am stopping on this car for a while so he can catch up on the money thing, next will be a 70 mustang that the guy wants his cage updated and strut front end installed.

The tires on this car are for fitup only because they are the right size, just thought I would tell you what should be obvious, the rims are his, 15X15 convo pros, the cage has some rust on it because it has been sitting around for a year while the kid saved his pennies, the rear end is an 8 3/4 mopar that I narrowed, I tried to get him to go 9" but he wanted to keep it all mopar, so whatever, thats what I did, you can see better pics of this by clicking on the photobucket link below, thanks for looking

Here are some pics of cutting the front end out of the car, suspension and floor all as one, the front half was an after thought, luckely I did not have the entire cage done when he decided to do the front half or this would have sucked real bad

Dont mind my shop, I havent gotten around to tinning the walls yet, been to busy, so far this winter I have done one car per month since august, I will post them up also when I get time, here is a link to photobucket if you are interested in looking at all the pics of this car.

Stance is way sweet! Love it. Needs an Lsx if he wants it to be fast.

The rear end looks perfect IMO. Whats front halfing? I am new to these drag car terms.

                this is front halving

now that the entire front half is cut out I will be replacing it with 2X3 frame rails that are bent for a 6 inch ride height, so this will be a full tube chassis car, I will post pics up of the frame rails sometime tonight or tomorrow morning, I am on my way out there right now

So back or front "halving" is replacing the original frame rails with tube design? Or just custom rails to adjust ride height? Sorry for all the questions.

yes in a way, also so you can get the width of tire you want in the rear, and ladder bar or 4-link the car,and so that I can use a-arms or struts in the front rather than the factory mopar torsion bars, also the steering will be rack and pinion this leaves all kinds of room for any motor trans combo the guy wants, and any oil pan set up whether it be dry or wet sump, and any headers you want, It is basically just the shit when building a pro street ride or drag car

I know the kid is young and probably short on cash, but wouldn't it have been better to start with a cleaner body? That thing seems to be pretty ruff and in need of quite a bit. Traver
