Ok, have a different trans question for you guys

Have any of you tried using a Borg Warner T5 trans behind a v/8? I see them in firebirds, camaros and such but havent seen one in a street rod or muscle car that I can tell atleast. I picked one up and was thinking of putting it in the Falcon.

I can tell you from using them in my old Fox Body cars that they will not take much over 350hp or 350lbs. torque unless it is a World Class transmission, even those are a bit on the weak side.

You might break it with that 400 in the car, I know the T56 is spendy but keep an eye out for a LT1 T56 then just change over the input shaft and a front plate from an LS1, then it's the same thing and you can use your existing clutch.
