    Are you going to be able to use the rear shifter position on the T56? I've never looked at one, is the overall length longer than 4speed? You wouldn't want the shifter to end up under your elbow.
    P.S. I'd start collecting parts for a 455 now.
    That's one I always thought about building, and making it look like a factory install.

      ya the shifter location is actually very close to where the auto shifter location is, and g body cutlasses except in 78-79 didnt ever have a stick shift so it should work, someone else did a t56 swap and his is in a very good location. the length is probably 6 inches longer than a th350 with a short tail. 455 might be a next winter thing, i just want to get this going this summer, probably spent 1800 bucks in a month and half on parts(transmission was over half that), soon enough shall be install and then driving around
